Special Jury National Award and Further Achievements: Manoj Bajpayee received the Special Jury National Award for his role in “Pinjar” (2003). Following this, he appeared in a series of brief and unnoticed roles in films that did not significantly contribute to his career. However, he gained recognition for his portrayal of a greedy politician in the political thriller “Raajneeti” (2010). In 2012, he played the critically acclaimed lead character Sardar Khan in “Gangs of Wasseypur”.

His subsequent roles included a Naxalite in “Chakravyuh” (2012) and a CBI officer in “Special 26” (2013). In 2016, he portrayed Professor Ramchandra Siras in Hansal Mehta’s biographical drama “Aligarh”. For this performance, he won his third Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor and the Best Actor Award at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor at the 67th National Film Awards for his role in the film “Bhonsle”. He also received the Filmfare OTT Award for Best Actor for his performance in “The Family Man” (2021).
